Happy September! I can't believe it is Fall!
Each month around here, I tell you all the books I have been reading. Why? Because choosing books to read can be hard and everyone needs a little book inspiration from time to time.
I love to read. Books are my thing. We read a lot around our house. We talk about books. We listen to books. We read books and then watch movies. I am a big believer that loving good books is contagious. All you need some really good inspiration.

I challenge myself to read a certain number of books each year. I try to mix it up between fiction and nonfiction. Up until a few years ago, I never read fiction. In 2010, I challenged myself to read 10 fiction books in one year. After that year, I was hooked. Fiction is now a regular part of my reading rotation.
I am linking up with Modern Mrs. Darcy. If you looking for some more book inspiration, head over here! On to the report!
My friend Whitney posted on Instagram about this book. I happened to see it the next week at the library and put in our bag. I am so glad I did. This is not a book I would normally read, but it was worth it.
Matthew Desmond is a Harvard sociologist who spent years gathering data in Milwaukee's poorest neighborhoods. Evicted follows eight families and their landlords from 2008 to 2009. This book reads like a novel, but these true stories will stick with you long after the book is over. It an honest and sobering story of many American families. This book is eye-opening and captivating. I highly recommend it.
