Welcome to my monthly book report. A place where I share all the books I am reading. This year I am hoping to read 50 books.
It is a big goal for me. I hope to read a good variety of fiction and non-fiction. I also hope to read more business books this year as well as the Modern Mrs. Darcy's Reading challenge. You can find my picks for that here.
I am linking up with Modern Mrs. Darcy Quit Lit. Be sure to pop in over there and be inspired by all the great reads!
On to the books!
by: Jen Hatmaker
I love Jen Hatmaker's books. I added this my Reading Challenge book as "book I could read in a day." Once you start a book by Jen, you can't put it down. Her books are equal parts hilarious and challenging. In For the Love, she talks openly about how we share the Gospel in our world. She challenges us to be real, transparent, and honest. This book will make you laugh out loud and stick with you LONG after it is over.
by: Robert Galbraith
The Silkworm is the second book in a series of mystery novels by Robert Galbraith (aka JK Rowling). The series surrounds the work of a private investigator Cormoran Strike and his investigation of a missing author. I read the first book in this series (the Cuckoo's Calling) and really enjoyed it. I was disappointed with this novel. I found the content a bit too violent in some parts for my taste and the story was drawn out. I'm glad I finished it and will read the third book in the series.

Simply Tuesday is a beautiful book on living small in our thoughts. It is a call to stop the hustle, the drive to BE MORE, DO MORE, or ACCOMPLISH MORE but rather to see what is really happening in our life. Emily pushes us to see the feelings, the relationships, and the seasons we are in.
I found myself nodding with each page. I some parts I felt like Emily was reading my mind. She is honest, transparent, and a voice of calm in this crazy fast -moving world.
I enjoyed this book and plan on being a book a re-read from time-time.
