Are you ready for an AMAZING, FRUGAL, ALDI LOVING dessert ? Not only is this Uncookie easy, but each and every ingredient you can buy at your local Aldi for just a few bucks!! This dessert is truly a budget miracle.
All you Whole 30 mamas might need to close your eyes because this dessert is not approved. This is one of those amazing things you eat at a church potluck and know it is BAD for you but you don't care. One of those incredible recipes your grandma made with loads of things she never thought about. It is THAT good.
I try to keep all the ingredients in the back of pantry or fridge when I need to bring a quick dessert. You'll blink and they will be gone. Are you ready?
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
GATHER UP ALL YOUR INGREDIENTS!
One Stick of Butter
One Stick of Margarine
1/2 cup sugar
One sleeve (not one box) of graham crackers
2 Pouches of trail mix
Melt the sugar. the stick of butter and the stick of margarine in a small saucepan until bubbling. Let it boil for 2 minutes.
While your sugar, butter and margarine are doing their thing, chop up your trail mix.
Place your graham crackers on a cookie sheet with a small lip. Sprinkle your trail mix on top of your graham crackers. Take your melted butter and margarine mixture and pour it all over your graham crackers. That's right, give your graham crackers a butter bath! Be careful to try and cover as much of the cracker as you can!
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
This will smell AMAZING!! Take it out of the oven and place each graham cracker on a sheet of foil. THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT! DON'T SKIP THIS STEP. You'll regret it.
Your kids will beg you to eat this now, but WAIT! Let all the butter-sugar mixture do its magic. You want your Uncookies to cool completely. They will be crispy and delicious.
Throw the Uncookie together for snacks at a bible study or for a quick dessert one night. Your kids will not complain if you make these for an after school snack. Make a double batch and throw these into the kids lunch boxes. Be a hero! We support you!
