CREATE ARCH LEATHER EARRINGS WITH THIS SVG TEMPLATE
I’m so excited to share this post with you! I’ve been dreaming of creating these arch leather earrings with my Cricut for months! I love this arch style earring.
Geometric leather earrings are super popular. I have 2 pairs made of clay earrings but I knew we could make some with leather. They turned out better than I could imagine. You could make so many variations of this earring. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
If you are new around here, I love making leather earrings with my Cricut Maker and my Cricut Explore. Check out my teardrop SVG leather earrings here, my circle leather earrings here, and my folded faux leather Joanna Gaines inspired earrings here.
Please note my leather earring templates are for personal use only. Make as many cute earrings for yourself or gifts for friends! You will find this is an easy and fun DIY craft!
Let me show you how I make arch leather earrings using my free SVG / PNG template.

HOW TO MAKE ARCH LEATHER EARRINGS USING AN SVG FILE ON YOUR CRICUT MAKER
STEP 1 Subscribe for free to my resource library and download the Arch SVG/ PNG file to your computer.
You can upload this file right into your Cricut design space!
STEP 2 Upload the SVG or PNG file to Cricut Design Space.
If you’ve never uploaded a file to Cricut Design Space, I have a tutorial here. Once your file is uploaded your screen should look like this.
Next, you will want to size your earrings. You can do this any way you want and size to your preference but here is what works for me!
Click on your arch shape.
In the upper middle of your screen, you’ll see “size”. This is where you can make your earring bigger or smaller. I recommend the following size:
Finally, you’ll want to duplicate your earrings so you’ll have 2 earrings to cut. To do this you simply click anywhere on your earring. In the upper right side of your screen click “Duplicate”
Congrats! You now have 2 earrings! Your design should look like this.
STEP 3 Cut your leather.
If you haven’t cut leather on your Cricut before, it takes some time and practice to get the hang of it. I wrote up a tutorial about cutting leather here. You need to be sure of a few things:
Is your mat sticky and clean? A sticky mat will hold your leather down and keep it from bunching during cutting.
Cricut suggests you move the star wheels on your machine when you cut leather. This video explains how to do this.
Use transfer tape to help keep your leather from bunching. The transfer tape will keep your mat clean and help keep your leather sticking to your mat.
Be sure to select the correct type of leather you are cutting before you cut. The leather I have is garment leather with a thickness of .4-.5oz. I selected this before I cut.
Finally, use a brayer to make sure your leather is on your mat. I picked up the Cricut brayer. Simply roll it on top of your leather.
My brayer came with these long tweezers. They are super helpful to remove your leather earrings from your mat after cutting.
STEP 4 Punch a hole in your arch
My files do not include precut holes. I prefer to cut holes in my earrings using my leather punch. It is my preference. I think a leather punch gives you more control over where you want to place your earring hole.
I set my punch on the smallest setting.
For this design, you’ll want to make sure you punch a hole in the center. You can go about this two ways. You can pinch the earring to find the exact center. Punch your hole.
OR you could use a ruler to measure the exact center. Use a pencil to mark the center and punch!
STEP 5 Attach your hooks to your earrings
Open up your earring hook with your jewelry pliers. I prefer the flat nose pliers for this!
Thread your hook into your earring and clamp the hood back together.
Repeat this step with the other earring.
Congratulations! You did. Now make a pair in every color!
Be sure to share with us your earrings. We would love to see them!
