Hi Pattern Testers!

Thank you so much for being willing to test things for me before they go live on my blog. You all are the best!

Just a few things to note before you get started:

  • Leather. You can use any leather you want for my SVG files. You can use Cricut faux leather, Cricut Brand Leather, or Genuine leather.

  • I will only leave SVG files here for a short time. After that, you can find them inside my resource library.

  • If you have any trouble downloading, email me at melissa@melissavoigt.com

  • When you are done cutting and making your earrings, I would love your feedback.

    • Did it work?

    • What tips or tricks do I need to add or explain?

    • What kind of leather did you use?

    • You can use the form below or email me at melissa@melissavoigt.com

  • Please know these files are for personal use only. YOU MAY DOWNLOAD, EDIT, CUT AND MAKE. MELISSA VOIGT SVG AND PNG CUT FILE DOWNLOADS ARE 100% FREE FOR PERSONAL USE.

SIZE YOUR EARRINGS

Next, you’ll need to size your earrings.

Click on your teardrop shape.

In upper middle of your screen you’ll see “size”. This is where you can make your teardrop bigger or smaller. I have size recommendations below, but I prefer bigger earrings!

I made my earring 3” long and 2.144” wide.

My SVG files will not be sized. You will need to size those in Cricut Design Space. I did this for many reasons but the biggest one is that I want YOU to be able to create the size you love. If you need a starting point, here is what I recommend.

FOR TEARDROP EARRINGS

Small - LENGTH 2.0”

Medium - LENGTH 2.5”

Large - LENGTH 3.0”

It will automatically adjust your width to your length.

If you want to manually adjust the width, click the lock in between the width and the height box. You can adjust the width to your preference. I think anything between 1.5 and 2”" looks great!

DUPLICATE

Last, you’ll want to duplicated your earrings so you have 2 earrings to cut. To do this you simply click anywhere on your earring. In the upper right side of your screen click “Duplicate”. You now have 2 earrings!

You are ready to cut!

As I said above, I used a shimmer leather cork fabric. So I used a strong grip mat and a deep cut blade. I set my setting on my machine to custom. When prompted inside Cricut Design Space, I selected leather shimmer.

Cut your earrings.

Need help assembling your earrings? Follow my instructions at the bottom of this post!

Okay, feedback time! Let me know how it went. What did you like? What other tips do you need from me?
