I have read 29 books so far in 2015. My goal is to read 37 books total this year. Although I didn't get to read as many books as I wanted to read this month, I did make some progress. One of the books I read was 530 pages! That is almost 2 books!
Here is what I read in September:
All The Light We Cannot See is historical fiction book about World War II. The story centers around a blind girl from France and an orphan boy in Germany. The book weaves through their individual journies through the war. He goes off to war fighting for Germany and her family is displaced in the French coast. I was instantly drawn into the characters and history. It is dark, honest, and beautiful.
I finally got a copy of Kondo's book from the library. A quick read, Kondo gives a rigorous approach to clutter management. She walks her readers through how to eliminate clutter once and for all. She believes in the eliniation approach to clutter BEFORE organization. The second half of the book walks you through a step-by-step approach to the most common clutter areas. A must read for all us wanna-be minimalists! I can't wait to work on a few areas of my home and report back!
In his latest book, Goins dispells the common myths of work and calling. It is a real kick in the pants for all us entrepreneurs! Goins pushes us to see that finding work that matters is a journey, not a destination. The process is just an important and the goal. It is a book that will leave you thinking long after it is over.
I have my eyes on some more great reads to finish out the year!
A good friend let me borrow this book.
I have been dying to read this for a year. Thankful to finally have a copy!
I have seen this book floating around the internet. Finally picked up a copy last week.
Our library doesn't have this book yet. I may just need to buy it!
