It is halfway through the year and you know what that means? It is time go back to all those goals we dreamed about in January! Truth be told, this might be my favorite time of the year. All summer I think about what goals I reached and what goals I just need to ditch this year. By the time my people go back to school, I am focused and ready to tackle the last portion of the year.
One of my biggest goals every year is reading. How many books will I read? What will I read? I always take the time to think and plan through this goal. I am about 50/50 when it comes to planning my reading. Some books I own already and some I get from the library. I make a loose plan and then let life fill in the rest.
To help you with your reading goals I made this super great printable for FREE. This is exaclty how I think through my reading goals. This printable is located on my password protect page. Subscribe to our newsletter and get this cute little printable. Not yet a subscriber? Join here!
I get most of my book recommendations from other bloggers. So when I see a book I may want to read I pin it to my READ IT board in Pinterest. If I am with friends in real life and they recommend a book, I put it in my Amazon wish list.
I usually start with how many books i want to read. Yes I count them. It is a goal of mine. I want to be able to quantify it. I open up my Pinterest boards and Amazon wish list and put all my books into my brainstorm section. I also like to stretch myself to read a variety of books. I write down the genre of books I'd like to read. I've noticed lately that I haven't read many spiritual books these days. I want to be super diligent about this in the next 6 months. I went a decade without reading one fiction book. A few years ago, I decided to change that. I now incorporate regular fiction reading into my life. I love it.
Do you plan out your books? How do you keep track of what to read?
