I shared on instagram that this has been my favorite read of the year. I suppose this book needs a whole post in itself! Jessica Turner writes about making time for yourself. She tackles a delicate topic with grace and truth. She talks candidly about the most common obstacles women face when making time for ourselves. She talks honestly about guilt and "getting it all done". I think you'll find this book to be inspirational and practical.
I am a huge fan of Lara Casey's power sheets so I was super curious to read this book. If you struggle with fear I highly recommend this book. Lara weaves her story throughout this entire book with grace and vulnerability. This book helped me recognize a lot of intense fear that had slowly creeped into my life. The back of the book is like a workbook with great questions to evaluate your life. Read this book slowly with a notebook and a pen.
I am huge fan of Liane Moriarty's books. The first book of hers that I read was What Alice Forgot. I was an instant fan! I love her character development and stories. The Husband's Secret did not disappoint. Like many of Liane Moriarty's novels she weaves the stories of her characters lives together in a beautiful way. It is a story of loss, secrets, and family. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat until the final page.
I picked The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society as a part of my Modern Mrs. Darcy Challenge. I've heard many people rave about it. I was really anxious to see what all the fuss was about, but I couldn't finish it. I tried really hard to get into the book. I finally gave myself grace and gave it up for now. I may come back to it later this year
I am a long time reader of The Nester. I love her philosophy about decorating and I LOVE her style. This book is the story behind the blog. The pictures are gorgeous. It is a fabulous coffee table book. Keep it out and all your guests will ask you about it.
For about a year now I have been wanting to create a gallery wall on this HUGE white wall in my living room. I have been scared TO DEATH to start and mess it all up. As soon as I finished this book I made my gallery wall. I spent zero dollars on it. I shopped the house like Myquillyn teaches. I love it. This book is teaching me about facing my fears in decorating so I can create a home we love.
