Who doesn't love a free printable? I love searching Pinterest for free printables. I am all about organizing our home. I am constantly working and reworking the plan around here.
Awhile ago, I was in need of a weekly family planner for our fridge. I was looking for something that would tell our kids what the meal plan and schedule was for the week. We all needed to be on the same page and I thought a simple planner on the fridge would do the trick.
The problem is that I couldn't find one that fit OUR family so I MADE one. I thought maybe you'd enjoy it too!

Our weekly planner has 4 basic components: a meal plan, a simple calendar, a grocery list, and notes for next week.
1. A Basic Meal Plan
We all chip in to cook around here so it helps for EVERYONE to know the plan. I try to include breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and dinner. Kids can grab snacks or start making lunches. Parents are on the same page for starting dinner.
2. A Simple Calendar
This is where I write down doctors appointments and practices. I like to give the kids a general calendar for the week. I keep track of our after school activities here. The kids enjoy looking to see what the schedule is for the evening. I enjoy not being asked 10 times what the plan is!
3. The Target List
My kids are constantly telling me what they need from Target. Lately, I"m having a hard time keeping up. We write down anything we need from the store on this planner. Grocery items, broken school supplies, or shampoo, it all goes on the list.
4. Goals and Plans for Next Week
Sometimes our kids want some individual time with mom or dad or we haven't had any good family time lately. This is the place to write it. Gifts that need to be bought or parties that must be planned next week go here. These things are first things to get pushed to the back and forgotten. Write those things here and plan for it!
My goal for this planner was to free my mind and time with the things that really matter. I find that if I don't have things clearly written out for the kids, they ask me over and over again the same questions. It is exhausting. A simple family planner is great for taking out all the mental clutter from your day. Download one for your family!
