I'm a planner. It's a thing. I plan meals, vacations, daily routines, budgets, work strategies, and (of course) what I'm going to read! I wrote about HOW i plan my reading here. My goal this year was to read 37 books. As of June 30, I've read 16 books. I need to read 21 more books before December 31st or 3 to 4 books per month. Totally doable. Most of the 16 books I read in 2015 were fiction. This is great, but I need to up my non-fiction game in the next 6 months. I want to add more books on spiritual growth and have a growing stack of business reads calling my name.
Last week I made a rough draft of all the books i've been eyeing on the internet and recommendations from friends. I use Pinterest and my Amazon wish list to keep track of all those ideas. Like I've said before, I'm about 50/50 when it comes to planning reading. I give myself a rough draft of what I want to read each month and then let my library HOLD list fill in the rest. I find that if I don't plan in some reads, I simply won't get all my reading goals met.
So WHAT am I planning on reading in the next 6 months? Here are my top picks:
