In 2014 I read 32 books. My goal was 36. I fell short of my goal by 4 books. I am okay with that. We had a busy year. We traveled a lot, dreamed a lot, and worked on our house a lot. We made a lot of things happen.
Looking back, I read a lot more fiction books this year. JoJo Moyes has become one of my favorite authors. I binge read 2 of her books this fall.
Rich Habits messed with me in the best of ways. I still can't stop thinking about it. This book has really made me evaluate my goal setting routine and daily habits.
I started a book club with my two oldest kids this fall and read through two classics. It was so much fun. We plan on carrying this little tradition on into 2015. I see The Giver and Tom Sawyer in my future.
Lysa Terkeurst became one of my new favorite Christian authors. I love her writing style and transparency. Unglued really challenged me in many ways. I highly recommend it.
$100 Startup was my favorite business read of the year. If you like unconventional and outside the box thinking, you'll love this book too.
The Expats made me want to travel to Europe again. I see you 2017......
Dear Mr. Knightley is written in LETTER format which threw me off in the beginning. It was a great read. Katherine Reay is also a new favorite author of mine.
and Daring Greatly......The best book Brad and I read this year. Those words challenge us daily in our parenting, in our work, and in our marriage. I have a feeling it will be a yearly re-read in our house. If you read anything this year, read this book.
